Brisbane, AU · Full-time · A$65,000 – A$85,000

About this role

EHS Support is a specialty environmental consulting firm that provides solutions to complex environmental, health, and safety challenges across a range of market sectors and industries. With experts located throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, we form long-lasting partnerships through a culture of excellence, innovation, work ethic, and integrity.

We are seeking an early-career environmental professional to join our Queensland team and contribute to the technical delivery of environmental site assessment, monitoring, compliance, and remediation programs. This role is suited to someone with a solid grounding in environmental fieldwork and data analysis who is now looking to broaden their technical capability and work more closely with senior practitioners on complex projects.

The position involves a practical and flexible mix of field, office, and home-based work, with periodic travel to regional locations typically involving medium-duration trips. Project delivery is primarily Australia-focused, with potential opportunities to support interstate or international work as your experience develops.

You will work with clients across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, chemical and heavy industry, and water resources. Our team does more than identify problems—we provide solutions, and we focus on hiring and retaining talented, motivated people who enjoy collaborating with and delivering value to our clients.

Requirements

  • Solid grounding in environmental fieldwork and data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a flexible mix of field, office, and home-based settings.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to regional locations for medium-duration trips.
  • Proficiency in managing and interpreting environmental data sets (groundwater, surface water, soil).
  • Strong technical report writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with environmental site assessment, monitoring, and remediation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support and progressively take ownership of technical tasks across environmental site assessment, monitoring, and remediation projects.
  • Plan and implement environmental field programs, including groundwater and surface water monitoring, soil sampling, site inspections, and compliance monitoring.
  • Manage, analyse, and present environmental data sets, including groundwater, surface water, and soil data.
  • Undertake desktop investigations, background reviews, and data compilation to support project planning and technical interpretation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and project deliverables, such as environmental site assessment and monitoring reports, work plans, sampling and analysis plans, and health, safety, and environmental documentation.
  • Support rehabilitation, closure, and environmental documentation as part of project delivery.

Benefits

  • Flexible work arrangement combining home, office, and field-based work.
  • Opportunity to work on complex projects across multiple sectors including oil and gas, chemical, and water resources.
  • Close collaboration with senior practitioners and mentorship to broaden technical capability.
