Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, or a related field with a spatial component
- Experience (or academic training) in remote sensing, GIS studies, and data analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of spatial sciences, remote sensing, and data management
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling
- Experience with machine learning methods and their application to spatial or numerical data
- Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think critically and produce clear, structured reports or scientific writing
Responsibilities
- Deliver work to a high standard within agreed timeframes and in alignment with company guidelines
- Assist in the collection, analysis, management, and presentation of spatial, remote sensing, and numerical data
- Support processes and procedures related to data management, utilization, and analysis
- Contribute to the communication and presentation of data for environmental, ecological, or project-related purposes
- Apply programming and automation (e.g., Python) to streamline workflows and improve data analysis
- Contribute to the development and application of machine learning models for data analysis and interpretation
- Present and explain data findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops
