Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, or a related field with a spatial component
Experience (or academic training) in remote sensing, GIS studies, and data analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of spatial sciences, remote sensing, and data management
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling
Experience with machine learning methods and their application to spatial or numerical data
Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to think critically and produce clear, structured reports or scientific writing

Responsibilities

Deliver work to a high standard within agreed timeframes and in alignment with company guidelines
Assist in the collection, analysis, management, and presentation of spatial, remote sensing, and numerical data
Support processes and procedures related to data management, utilization, and analysis
Contribute to the communication and presentation of data for environmental, ecological, or project-related purposes
Apply programming and automation (e.g., Python) to streamline workflows and improve data analysis
Contribute to the development and application of machine learning models for data analysis and interpretation
Present and explain data findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops
