We seek a skilled Remote Sensing Analyst for image processing, data analysis, and modeling from aerial, satellite, radar imageries, and LiDAR data. The role emphasizes developing methodologies for land cover classification, vegetation analysis, hydrology, and urban planning applications. Ensure accuracy and reliability in all feature extraction processes.

Process and analyze large area aerial, satellite, and radar imagery to extract features and enhance image quality. Handle regionwide LiDAR data to classify point clouds, create 3D models, and extract spatial information. Integrate remote sensing data with GIS platforms for comprehensive datasets.

Develop visualizations and maps to communicate findings and support decision-making. Collaborate with a diverse team of experts in a supportive and dynamic work environment. Contribute to a forward-thinking organization making tangible impact on the Houston-Galveston region.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geography, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Strong background in remote sensing
  • Proficient in LiDAR processing
  • Proficient in deep-learning image analysis
  • Skilled in image processing and data analysis from aerial, satellite, radar imageries, and LiDAR data
  • Experience ensuring accuracy and reliability in feature extraction processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop methodologies for data development, analysis and modeling from remote sensing and geospatial data, including land cover classification, vegetation analysis, hydrology, and urban planning applications
  • Process and analyze large area aerial, satellite, and radar imagery to extract relevant features and information
  • Handle and process regionwide LiDAR data to classify point clouds, create detailed 3D models and extract meaningful spatial information
  • Integrate remote sensing data with GIS platforms to create comprehensive spatial datasets
