About this role
Aecon Civil, a recognized leader in infrastructure development, is seeking a GIS Specialist to bridge geospatial, CAD/BIM, and construction operations. Reporting to the GIS Manager, you will own data integration flows with FME and maintain spatial data that supports RFP, design, pre-construction, and field execution.
In this role, you will design and employ geospatial solutions for regulatory and permitting elements of infrastructure projects. You will build scalable tools, including scripts and dashboards, to improve decision-making and reduce rework across the project lifecycle.
You will work within a collaborative team that values safety, integrity, accountability, and inclusion. Aecon invests in its people through initiatives like Aecon University and Leadership Programs, and supports equity through programs such as Aecon Women in Trades and Employee Resource Groups.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex civil projects—tunnels, transit expansions, highways, and site development—that connect communities and strengthen infrastructure. You will grow your career while helping build what matters for future generations.

- Understanding of geospatial principles, coordinate systems, and data standards.
- Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in data management.

- Assist in the creation of maps, visualizations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Benefits
- Support for mental, emotional, and physical well-being for you and your family.
