AtkinsRéalis are recruiting for a dynamic and motivated Geophysicist to help support rapidly increasing workload in the UK. Focus areas include infrastructure (rail, highways, water) and energy sectors like renewables (wind, geothermal, hydropower), geological storage, and nuclear power. Grow the team to meet client demands in these exciting sectors.
The role involves applying near-surface geophysics to onshore engineering and geotechnical projects. Take immediate ownership to lead project delivery and training early-career staff. Build client relationships to expand the geophysical offering.

Requirements
- Degree in a Geophysical subject
- At least five years' experience in near-surface geophysics for onshore engineering and geotechnical projects
- Chartered Geologist status (or able to achieve soon) with specialism in Near-Surface Geophysics
- Extensive field experience in geophysical techniques and processing software (e.g., Res2DInv, Seisimager, SurfSeis)
- Experience in field survey design, project management, data management, site health and safety, CDM regulations
- Excellent communication skills to translate client needs, specify techniques, and communicate findings
- Ability to identify and challenge data quality issues and work towards solutions
- Excellent report writing skills with ability to self-check
