About this role
ENSCO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geophysicist to join our team, supporting projects related to geophysical data collection, analysis, and modeling. This role focuses on applications in underground facility characterization, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) threat analysis, and other national security initiatives.
Day-to-day responsibilities include data acquisition, test development, digital signal processing, and geophysical modeling and interpretation. You will work with multiple sensor types including seismic, acoustic, acceleration, electromagnetic, and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) sensors, analyzing large, multimodal datasets.
You will join a team of dedicated professionals passionate about solving complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) missions. The work environment is dynamic, requiring effective collaboration to achieve overall program objectives.

Requirements
- BS degree in a physical science or related discipline (e.g., Geophysics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in data acquisition and test development
- Advanced skills in digital signal processing, data processing, geophysical modeling, and interpretation
- Hands-on experience in algorithm development and machine learning applications for geophysical data
- Experience working with multiple sensor types including seismic, acoustic, acceleration, electromagnetic, and GPR sensors
- Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, R, or C/C++
- Must have a current SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET/SCI; must be a U.S. citizen
Responsibilities
- Support projects related to geophysical data collection, analysis, and modeling
- Perform data acquisition and test development for field operations
- Apply advanced skills in digital signal processing, geophysical modeling, and interpretation
- Develop algorithms and apply machine learning for geophysical data analysis
- Work with multiple sensor types including seismic, acoustic, acceleration, electromagnetic, and GPR sensors
- Analyze large, multimodal datasets from a variety of sensors
- Develop test procedures and write technical reports
- Document field activities, equipment status, and test procedures
