About this role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Geophysicist to lead and oversee land-based geophysical projects from planning through delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven field experience, and the ability to guide junior staff. This role ensures high-quality data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
This position is central to expanding geophysical capabilities and maintaining technical excellence across projects. Lead the design, planning, and execution of land geophysical surveys such as MASW, seismic refraction, downhole/PS logging, ERT, GPR, and magnetic/EM surveys. Develop survey methodologies, acquisition parameters, and QA/QC procedures.
Supervise field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while coordinating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders. Perform advanced data processing, modeling, and interpretation using industry-standard software. Validate and integrate geophysical results with geological and geotechnical information.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, figures, and presentations for audiences. Mentor and train junior geophysicists and field technicians. Support capability building through knowledge sharing, workflow improvements, and adoption of new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
- 8–10+ years of experience in land geophysical surveys for engineering, environmental, or exploration applications
- Strong command of seismic, electrical, and electromagnetic methods
- Proficiency with geophysical acquisition systems and processing software
- Demonstrated ability to lead field crews and manage multiple projects
