About this role

We're one of the UK’s biggest charities caring for 2,000 miles of canals, rivers, docks, and reservoirs. The IT Solutions team delivers reliable, secure technology to manage assets, plan maintenance, and analyze data across waterways. As GIS Specialist, you'll provide end users with accurate spatial and location-based information vital to IT stability.

You'll manage day-to-day operations of cloud-based GIS systems using the latest Esri platform, ensuring stability, resilience, and performance. Handle spatial data holdings to keep them up to date with accurate metadata and copyright. Resolve helpdesk incidents and recognize patterns to boost GIS utilization across the organization.

Work closely with IT Operations and teams in a fast-moving environment supporting a geographically dispersed network. Collaborate across the charity to scope solutions and present options for spatial challenges. No two weeks are the same in this varied role focused on waterways management.
