About this role

GIS Developer role supporting NASA human space exploration missions including ISS and Artemis. The position focuses on applying GIS and remote sensing to Earth, Moon, and planetary imagery data while maintaining strict HUBZone residency requirements.

Daily work involves building data pipelines that feed imagery and geospatial products into web GIS platforms, ArcGIS Enterprise, and NASA internal applications. Developers also create cartography products and manage geodatabases with proper versioning, metadata, and data integrity controls.

The role operates within a dynamic team of scientists, engineers, and mission managers at NASA centers across the United States. Work occurs in a time-critical environment supporting multiple human exploration programs simultaneously.

Successful candidates contribute directly to deep space exploration efforts that benefit both NASA missions and terrestrial applications. The position offers the chance to shape geospatial technology used in Artemis, Gateway, Orion, and ISS operations.
