About this role
Reporting to the Shared Resources Manager, you will be a core member of our exploration team focused on structural interpretation, reconstruction and 3D modeling. Working with the prospect evaluation commodity team geoscientists, this role will help acquire high quality structural data and integrate that data into working geological models. The role is based in London with flexible working options.
Integrate architectural, structural, and geodynamic data at all scales to build and maintain geologically focused areas of specific interest. Support exploration decisions through creation of fully integrated, detailed 3D structural models in support of target definition and target testing stages. Participate in technical reviews at the Camp and Prospect level based on deep knowledge of the portfolio, regional geology, geochemistry, and geophysical response of varied copper and nickel deposit types.
Work closely with data scientists by finding innovative and practical solutions for prospectivity modelling workflows and outputs to build robust exploration portfolios. Participate in work with the technical Lead Principal and Data Science team to obtain guidance and maintain excellence in the program. The role will be a mix of office and field-based work, including travel to field projects to support structural data acquisition and sampling.
At BHP we support our people to grow, learn, develop their skills and reach their potential. With a global portfolio of operations, we offer a diverse and inclusive environment with extraordinary career opportunities. Come and be a part of this success.
