EHS Support is a specialty environmental consulting firm that provides solutions to complex environmental, health, and safety challenges. We seek a Senior or Principal level Environmental Scientist, Contaminated Land for our WA team to tackle Australia's largest industrial facilities closures. The role involves providing technical oversight and practical solutions to clients facing environmental management challenges. Undertake preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, including PSI and DSI reports, site management plans, and remediation action plans. Lead complex projects covering soil, vapour, surface water, wastewater, and groundwater.
Work within a collaborative team focused on excellence, innovation, work ethic, and integrity. Mentor the contaminated land team and engage clients plus other disciplines for innovative solutions. Demonstrate site supervision, investigations, and sampling methods for soil and groundwater.

Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology
- 8+ years’ experience in contaminated land and remediation projects
- Experience in contaminated land assessments with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations
- Demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing site investigations and various sampling methods including soil and groundwater
- Strong communication, report writing, and project management skills
- Knowledge of NEPM as well as health & safety best practice principles
- Strong knowledge of WA environmental legislation
- Great eye for detail, sense of practicality in legislative and technical interpretation, and ability to find pragmatic solutions
Responsibilities
- Undertake preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, preparing PSI and DSI Assessment Reports, site management plans and remediation action plans
- Initiate, plan, lead and execute complex contaminated land/waste projects, including soil, vapour, surface water, wastewater and groundwater assessments
- Provide mentoring and technical oversight to the contaminated land/waste team
- Engage with clients and other disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems
- Manage site investigations and various sampling methods including soil and groundwater
- Supervise sites during contaminated land remediation projects
