About this role
As a Field Geophysicist you will perform a variety of data collection tasks using geophysical and GPS equipment to support MMRP investigations and remediation projects. The position centers on acquiring digital data in active field environments for military munitions response work.
Daily work includes conducting quality control tests, collecting data with EM61-MK2, G-858, UltraTEM, and APEX systems, and documenting results. Additional tasks may involve soil and water sampling during environmental remediation activities.
You will operate within the Federal Solutions segment supporting US government customers on defense and environmental projects. Field assignments require extensive travel to remote sites and physically demanding work in varied weather and terrain conditions.
The role includes assisting with work plan preparation, report writing, and data analysis while applying geophysical principles on active project sites.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in geophysics, geology, or related field
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control tests and collect digital geophysical data
- Acquire EM61-MK2, G-858, UltraTEM, and APEX data
- Conduct or monitor daily quality control tests of equipment and methods and document test results
- Support the project team by assisting with work plan preparation, report writing, and data analysis
- Perform environmental remediation tasks such as soil and water sampling
