geocgi is looking for a GIS Developer/Analyst to support our client in the Washington DC area. This role focuses on developing and enhancing geospatial applications, supporting emergency operations, and delivering critical data and analysis to stakeholders in high-impact environments. The ideal candidate brings strong GIS development, spatial analysis, and application customization skills for mission-driven emergency work.
Develop maps, dashboards, and geospatial products supporting the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Design, develop, and maintain ArcGIS-based applications using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, and StoryMaps. Customize applications with the Esri Developer Suite including App Studio, Web AppBuilder, ArcPy, and SDKs.
Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data management while collecting, validating, and synthesizing emergency response data. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote data sharing, reduce duplication, and identify data gaps. Support distributed teams through communication, coordination, meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
Maintain, test, and troubleshoot GIS applications and deliver training on tools like ArcGIS Online and Dashboards. Requirements
- U.S. Citizen and Active U.S. Passport
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or DOE Q Clearance
- 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS platform (applications, dashboards, story maps, surveys)
- 3+ years of experience supporting geospatial analysis in emergency management, preparedness, or national security environments
- 3+ years of experience developing geospatial applications using Python, JavaScript, C#, Java
Responsibilities
