Work largely involves online content to ensure effective project management.

Update and maintain ArcGIS Online maps while managing data updates with good recordkeeping principles. Develop tools to improve and automate processes, troubleshoot problems, and research solutions. Incorporate feedback from project staff to make continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Online for map maintenance and updates
  • Strong data management skills with emphasis on recordkeeping
  • Experience developing tools to automate GIS processes
  • Ability to incorporate project staff feedback into GIS workflows
  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting GIS issues
  • Clear communication of GIS concepts to non-experts
  • Understanding of utility, transportation, and energy infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of geospatial data in environmental and geosciences contexts

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain ArcGIS Online maps
  • Manage data updates while practicing good recordkeeping principles
  • Develop tools to improve and automate processes
  • Listen to the needs of project staff and incorporate feedback
  • Troubleshoot problems, research solutions, and seek improvements
  • Clearly communicate GIS concepts and issues to project staff with minimal GIS knowledge
  • Support and actively participate in the culture of safety and employee ownership
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
