About this role

Weston & Sampson is seeking an entry-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist with 0-2 years of experience for our Water discipline in one of our MA or NH offices. As a 100% employee-owned firm with more than 800 professionals, we develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for environmental and infrastructure projects. Our mission focuses on protecting and sustaining the natural and built environment.

You will conduct hydrogeologic and geologic investigations, supervise pumping tests, and perform water-quality sampling. Tasks also include streamflow gaging, GIS map and graphics generation, soil sampling and logging during well installation, and permit and report writing. Field work across various site settings requires some travel.

Requirements

  • BS in Geology with an emphasis in Hydrogeology
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting
  • Enthusiasm for completing field work at a variety of site settings
  • Practical knowledge of GIS, data entry and management using Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel for field work
