About this role
The Geosolutions Geophysicist in Houston is responsible for assisting in delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable products and services to customers. The role consults with operations groups to support expertise areas and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of product and service delivery.
Core work includes depth imaging with extensive velocity model building using Full Wave Inversion. The Geophysicist designs seismic imaging workflows, processes data with appropriate technology, validates job sequences, and ensures processed data reaches customers on schedule.
This position provides real-time support to operations and assists the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management including quality control. The role interfaces consistently with customers to advise on processing parameters and archive projects upon completion.

Requirements
- BSc in Geophysics; alternative acceptable disciplines include Physics, Geology or Engineering
- 0-3 years of Geophysics experience with minimum 1+ years of Full Wave Inversion (FWI) experience
- Exposure to programming and software development for seismic data imaging
- English language fluency with the capability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Excellent presentation skills
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in the area of expertise throughout the Sales and Product and Service Delivery process
- Design seismic imaging workflows to improve quality of subsurface images for a given geological setting
- Process data using the appropriate technology and software while validating accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences
- Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters
- Assist the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management, including quality control
- Mentor junior staff and keep abreast of developments and new technologies within seismic data processing
- Assist in real-time incident response, recovery, and investigation as related to the area of expertise
