
About this role
AECOM seeks an energetic, technology-minded GIS professional for immediate employment in the Marine Corps Base Hawaii Geospatial Information and Services office. As a full-time employee, report to the Associate Vice President & GIS Sr Manager while supporting USMC clients in the Environment Business line. Join a team handling GIS data management, geospatial analysis, modeling, cartographic products, and technical support.
Gather and review technical requirements to meet project goals, following project plans for execution and quality reviews. Perform GPS data collection with various field software and equipment. Create, edit, or delete GIS features and attributes within enterprise geodatabases, and prepare digital maps.
Work in close coordination with the project team lead to develop, deploy, and support GIS across the installation. Communicate and collaborate to document system requirements, organizing status updates for leads. Apply attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, data management, and technical writing.
Maintain strong knowledge of existing and emerging GIS software and technologies. Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with field activities and occasional travel. Be part of a global team of over 50,000 professionals delivering projects with positive impact worldwide.
Requirements
- BA/BS or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review
- US citizenship required due to the nature of work
- GIS and ArcGIS experience required
- Proficiency with Esri suite of applications including ArcGIS Enterprise, Pro, and Desktop Software
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D/AutoCAD Map
- Experience using Python or other programming languages to automate GIS workflows and data validation processes
- General understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality
