About this role

You will provide technical and coordination support to environmental assessment, permitting, and community engagement projects as part of the Environmental Assessment & Community Engagement (EACE) group. This role supports project teams through desktop research, data compilation and QA/QC, report preparation and formatting, stakeholder and regulatory tracking, and development of environmental graphics and GIS-based outputs. The position suits early-career professionals seeking broad exposure to environmental assessment practice and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

The Environmental Coordinator assists with project preparation and proposal support by clarifying scopes, breaking down tasks, and developing proposal content and appendices. Responsibilities include facilitating SharePoint and Teams project site setup, organizing documents, maintaining version control, and creating graphics, schedules, timelines, and workflow diagrams for proposals and client materials. The role also involves stakeholder mapping and reviewing regulatory pathways under senior staff guidance.

During project execution, conduct desktop research on project backgrounds, regional contexts, regulatory frameworks, and precedent studies. Compile, quality check, and organize environmental datasets, track stakeholders, maintain engagement databases, and develop assessment tables and regulatory tracking tools. Prepare environmental base maps and constraints mapping in conjunction with the GIS team, manage metadata and symbology templates, and produce visuals for reports.

Reporting duties include drafting baseline sections, methodology descriptions, and appendices; formatting and proofreading technical documents; and consolidating reviewer feedback. The role aligns with the Global Technical Centre (GTC) model, working closely with project managers, technical specialists, and local regulatory leads while supporting multiple projects concurrently. Provides general technical and administrative support to senior environmental practitioners.
