Esri Canada has a unique opportunity for a Product Specialist, ArcGIS Developer Technology on our Product Management team, based anywhere in Canada. ArcGIS is a comprehensive, enterprise-ready geospatial platform architected for developers to build apps using its powerful mapping APIs and location services. It enables extending ArcGIS with custom functionality and automating workflows such as map creation, analysis, and administration.

As a product specialist, you will be the go-to Esri Canada resource for authoritative product information related to a range of ArcGIS Developer products. You will keep customers, sales and technical teams up to date on product capabilities, best practices, product lifecycle, and business model. You will assess and advocate for alignment of product roadmap features with the business needs of the Canadian developer community.

A Day in the Life includes acting as a liaison between internal teams and Esri Inc product management on ArcGIS Developer products issues. Maintain advanced-level technical knowledge of Esri’s APIs and SDKs for building apps, extending ArcGIS, and automating workflows. Explore emerging products, promote technology, perform developer outreach, and mentor technical staff.

Requirements

University or post-graduate degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline
5+ years of experience building apps, extending ArcGIS, and/or automating workflows using Esri’s APIs and SDKs including ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET, ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET, ArcGIS API for Python, and ArcGIS Arcade
Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
Understanding of security methodologies and authentication patterns leveraged by ArcGIS
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships, collaborate with others, and coordinate resources across multi-disciplinary teams
Self-starter personality
Approaches challenges with a growth mindset

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between internal teams and Esri Inc product management on issues related to ArcGIS Developer products
Maintain advanced-level technical knowledge of Esri’s APIs and SDKs for building apps, extending ArcGIS, and automating workflows
Explore and demonstrate emerging ArcGIS Developer products and capabilities
Promote and showcase ArcGIS Developer technology
Perform developer outreach activities
Provide mentoring to Esri Canada technical staff and technical guidance through team meetings, demos, and knowledge transfer sessions
