Field Exploration Geologist

Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to guarantee society’s access to base and precious metals. As a Field Exploration Geologist, you will plan, execute, and follow up on exploration activities in the Boliden area with a strong emphasis on zinc.

You will contribute geological expertise throughout the process—from data collection and analysis to reporting and presenting results. Your key responsibilities include conducting geochemical sampling, bedrock mapping, drill hole logging, and geological interpretation and modeling in 2D and 3D.

You will join a dedicated exploration team of geologists, geophysicists, geochemists, and field technicians, working in smaller groups focused on VMS exploration in the Skellefteå district. This is one of the most important mining districts in Europe for base and precious metals.
