About this role

The Geosolutions Geophysicist contributes expertise in acquisition and processing techniques along with geophysics, interpretation, and inversion. The role centers on seismic data workflows that support client projects from testing through final delivery.

Daily work includes defining and submitting test jobs, interpreting results, and recommending processing parameters. Data is processed with the appropriate technology and software while accuracy and efficiency of all sequences are validated.

Interaction with customers involves advising on parameters and ensuring processed data meets schedule requirements. The position also supports project leadership through velocity picking, quality control, resource forecasting, and work delegation.

Additional duties cover investigating processing problems, reporting findings, and mentoring junior staff. The Geophysicist stays current with developments in seismic data processing and data transfer techniques while archiving completed projects.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree
Expertise in seismic acquisition and processing techniques
Understanding of interpretation and inversion methods
Familiarity with velocity picking and quality control procedures

Responsibilities

Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters
Process data using the appropriate technology and software
Ensure that processed data is delivered to customers on schedule
Define, build and submit test jobs, interpret test results, and recommend parameters
Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences
Investigate and report on problems encountered during seismic data processing
Mentor junior staff and assist the Project Leader with daily project management
Forecast resource requirements, report project status, and archive projects
