The GIS Specialist I works under the direction of the GIS Manager and project managers across the company to create a wide variety of maps and geospatial data products. Create professional maps using ArcGIS Pro for reports and proposals as a core daily task. Compile, clean, and organize datasets from internal sources, public agencies, and field collection apps. Assist with GPS data processing and map preparation for field crews to support operations.

Work closely with scientists and engineers to integrate GIS processes into existing workflows. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while handling multiple projects concurrently. Manage deadlines effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting requires high attention to detail.

Develop expertise in Esri GIS software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online through hands-on projects. Gain exposure to environmental consulting and geotechnical applications. Constant learning opportunities foster growth in geospatial technologies and data management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, work on multiple projects concurrently, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly skilled with Esri GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of coordinate systems, cartographic principles, and GIS data management
  • Valid driver’s license and pass MVR as required
