About this role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in geological modelling and resource estimation, with in-depth knowledge of JORC and NI 43-101 standards.

This role involves analyzing and interpreting geological data using specialist software, developing and maintaining 3D geological models, and integrating geochemical, geophysical, and geological data to enhance resource modelling accuracy. Fieldwork and geological data collection support technical studies and exploration programs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including geologists, engineers, and management to support exploration, mine planning, and strategic decision-making. The role also includes providing training and mentorship to junior geologists and technical team members.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Competent Person (CP) under JORC and/or NI 43-101 standards preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in geological software such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, etc.
  • Deep understanding of geological exploration, resource estimation, and mine planning.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of African mineral belts, terrains, and geology.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geoscientific data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 3D geological models to support Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves estimation.
  • Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to enhance resource modelling accuracy.
  • Support exploration programs (greenfield and brownfield) through data-driven target generation.
  • Conduct fieldwork and geological data collection to support technical studies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive geological reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure full compliance with international reporting standards (JORC, NI 43-101, etc.).
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior geologists and technical team members.
  • Apply knowledge of African geology and regional mineral systems to support exploration and development projects across the continent.
